WELCOME TRS READERS!

We're wrapping up the Thanksgiving Party at The Romance Studio! Any TRS readers who also comment on this Rock'n'Romance blog will have their name entered in my December 10 drawing for a $25.00 gift certificate from Amazon.com.

I had so much fun earlier this month listening to new bands and revisiting classics that blog readers suggested, and I want to do it again! Tell me who your favorite rock singer or rock band is and I'll listen to at least one of their songs. Or you can just say hello and still be entered in the drawing!

  1. I actually had to go and read that post...LOL
I can't say must as my son nicely informed me that I enjoy Classic rock. His Idea of "Classic rock" is Poison, Warrant, Motley Crue and Guns N Roses ....Yep made me feel old. All I can say is atleast I can understand what my "Classic Rockers" are saying compared to the screaming his do :0)

  2. Also LOL, BJ! My younger son has some "screamers" on his playlist, but he also has some of the classic rock I enjoy and some other more mellow surprises. I think it's cool he has eclectic tastes in music, as long as he doesn't share ALL of his selections with me. :)

  3. Ok...I'm old, so, I guess you'll be listening to 'classic rock'. Anyway...I LOVE Journey. Give them a listen...hopefully you'll like them too!

  4. Barbara, I haven't listened to Journey for ages. Love them! Thanks for the reminder of this great band!

    And I don't think we're "old"--I think we're "classic" too! LOL!

  7. Hi, Shadow! Your mom must be a musical generation younger than me. A lot of what is now considered "classic" rock was heavy metal to me--small doses, please! Yes, that's my wimp coming out! LOL!

I do like bon jovi and some of aerosmith's songs. I had not heard Vixen--intrigued by an all-female band, maybe because I've thought for some time it would be fun to play the drums. Not sure when I'd squeeze that in, though. :)

I've heard Poison's Every Rose Has Its Thorn, and listened to some of their other music. Some deeper meanings there.

Abba seems to be the misfit on your list--a softer style than the other bands--and more like most of the music I listen to.

Sounds like you have eclectic tastes in music. That's very cool! Thanks for stopping by and giving me a musical smorgasbord to listen to!

  10. Hey, Regina! I started my morning on the computer listening to Queen--thanks to your hubby! Had forgotten what great harmony they sang on some of their songs.

And if I write about country singers, we can enjoy your favorite artists. :)

    Thanks for stopping by!

  11. Hi, One of my favorites is Creedence Clearwater Revival, they were popular in the late 1960's and early 70's. I still love listening to their songs. Happy Thanksgiving! cheryllynne(at)rocketmail(dot)com

  12. Well, Cheralyn, Creedence was rockin' on my computer until I was unceremoniously booted off the Internet! Hmm...

I'll listen to them when I'm out and about today as there's a Creedence CD in the player in my vehicle. :)

    Great day brightener!
